Paper presentation on ‘Contribution of Amateur Astronomers Association of Vadodara (AAAV)’.

Dr. Atman Desai, a member of AAAV did an online paper presentation on ‘Contribution of Amateur Astronomers Association of Vadodara (AAAV)’ in astronomy popularization’ at International Conference on ‘Astro-Tourism and Astro-Entrepreneurship in India’ organized by Indian Institute of Astrophysics on 12th March 2024. The paper highlighted the journey of AAAV since its inception in January 19916, vision-mission and objectives of the Association. The paper highlighted different astronomy popularization programmes, public observation events like solar and lunar eclipses, transits and occultation of celestial objects and observation of planets, constellations and deep sky objects. The paper also highlighted the challenges faced by AAAV in organizing its activities. Mr. Bhargav Joshi, head of AAAV guided for this presentation.
