The Amateur Astronomers Association of Vadodara (AAAV) popularizes astronomy with great enthusiasm since 31 years. The club has introduced innovative strategies to popularize so that people are sensitized on different aspects of astronomy.
AAAV decided to start Gujarat YouTube Web Series Called “Brahmand Braman” so that popularization reaches youngsters as they are very much inclined towards digital media. AAAV team was keen to launch the web series by introducing basic astronomy concepts in first season of the visual delight. Then later on the level of understanding can go higher. The team led by Bhargav Joshi, head of AAAV, planned that season 1 can be of four episodes and then we can do season 2 and season 3 later this year. There was a challenge in pre-production as well as post-production. The human resources related to anchoring, video editing and visual effects were a major concern.
All the episodes were written and directed by Bhargav Joshi. Dr. Atman Desai gave the production support. The anchoring was done by Tanvi Doshi, a third year student of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda-Vadodara and the cinematography, video editing and visual effects was done by Rohan Bhavsar, a second year Master student of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda-Vadodara. Tanvi Doshi and Rohan Bhavsar joined as interns. There is a provision to do internship in final year of bachelor degree course as per National Education Policy 2020. Thus, Tanvi joined as intern as per this regulation. Rohan also joined as intern as the internship in second year master degree is must.
The first episode is on Star, Human and Atom. The episode shows the relation between these three. The language of first episode is Gujarati. Series is Launched in Official YouTube Channel of Astronomy Club Vadodara.
